What a great trip! We visited the three “kingdoms” of Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan in Sept. 2006. Bhutan measures the “Gross National Happiness,” which gives you a feeling for what is valued there. We had a laugh-out-loud moment at the famous (and remote) “Tigers’ Nest,” located 2,000′ up a sheer cliff … when a young monk leaned over to pour tea for us … and his mobile phone fell out of his robe.
