Palau, Micronesia (diving) – May 2008

One of the most beautiful islands, both above and below the surface, we have ever visited and dived. Period. One of the best underwater diving experiences ever! During World War II, the major ‘Battle of Peleliu’ was fought in this area. Above water we saw remains of rusted machine guns, old Sake bottles, concrete ‘pill boxes’, helmets and caverns where the stored Japanese fuel depot was blown up. At ‘Jellyfish Lake’on Eil Malk island in Palau, we swam with millions of non-stinging golden jellyfish floating in the lake. An incredible experience!
