Papua New Guinea is totally fascinating. We visited the highlands, home of fearsome-looking warriors (the Huli wigmen) and beautiful birds of paradise. These villages are incredibly remote. We visited communities along the Sepik River, and we also visited a serene beach resort, where “Malolo” means “relax.” Many of these villages are living much as they did hundreds of years ago, giving us a glimpse into living history.
