Skiing Telluride, CO – Feb. 2010

Wow! Telluride is a beautiful place, steeped in mining history and with many of its 1800s era buildings beautifully preserved. Not one fast food chain here! Altitudes are high (9,000 to skiing at 13,000), as are the spirits — people could not be nicer! Great variety of runs… we enjoyed a powder day and even skied black-diamond bowl and mogul runs. Our companions included our long-time friends Tom & June Fraim, as well as Toms high school buddy Hank Kreis and his wife Jan from Tucson. The trip back home was rough… we spent 3 days trying to fly back home, where a blizzard raged. We finally made it!
