What’s Next – Future Plans

Lots of places on our destination wish list … and our list keeps getting longer! Like the rest of the world, our 2020 plans were obliterated, and 2021 severely disrupted, due to the pandemic … but we are hopeful and are planning for future adventures:

Diana & pile of snoozing sharks-Cocos Island
Diana with new friends at Cocos Island, Costa Rica

2021

COVID-cancelled: Malta — We were hoping to take a bareboat (we’re the captain/crew) chartered sail with friends in June 2021 … unfortunately, though Malta had announced it was opening June 1 … it didn’t.

Alaska cruise — July 2021. It’s all U.S., so this ship should sail! We also plan to spent a few days in Seattle.

Biking Normandy and Brittany — Aug./Sept. 2021. Bike trip originally re-scheduled from Sept. 2020 with VBT, which cancelled it June 2021 due to COVID-related hotel unavailability. We switched to a Backroads trip and plan to also visit Malta. This is our 3rd or 4th attempt to go to Malta this year, so … fingers crossed!

Ethiopia: Cultural Discoveries in an Ancient Land* — Nov./Dec. 2021 (group #28474, rescheduled from Nov. 2020)

2022

Iran — May 2022, with GeoEx tours.

Mongolia, Nadaam Festival and Trans-Siberian Express — July 2022 (rescheduled from July 2020)

Arctic, Norway & Svalbard* — Aug-Sept 2022 (group #G1-28474). Trip was rescheduled from July 2020 and again from July 2021 … third time’s a charm!
